About My Fitness Journey

In December 2008 I turned 40.  At the start of 2008 I set myself a personal goal to be in the best physical shape of my life at 40.  So I started working out and watching what I ate.

As the first few months rolled by, I bought several books, fitness related magazines and consumed practically all the information I could related to health and fitness.

I achieved my goal of being in the best shape of my life at 40…  During that year of working out and trying to “do the right thing” as far as my diet was concerned, I learned a lot.  A lot about getting fit, and more importantly – staying fit.  It was about changing my lifestyle.

Since then I’ve turned my focus to helping others seeking to achieve the same thing I did.  Over the past several months I’ve been giving friends motivation, fitness tips and I’ve even started training a couple of them in the gym.

Basically, this blog is an attempt to share what I’ve learned about achieving fitness and also an opportunity to learn more…

I’ll be sharing what I know and what I continue to learn along the way – about fitness, and health in general.  I’m always testing new workout programs (since I get bored easily) and  I’ll try to provide objective reviews of some of these routines that might help steer people in the right direction…
